Local Bands Compete For A Chance To Play A Set At MASS Music Festival
The inaugural MASS Music Festival is giving one lucky (and not to mention, talented) band the chance to join some of Australia’s finest acts on stage at Nippers Oval, Margaret River on March 20 2010.
A band competition will be held at Settlers Tavern in the heart of Margaret River on Wednesday March 17 2010 and is open to bands from the South West area.
The winner, to be announced at the end of the evening, will open the festival, alongside the likes of rockers Gyroscope, Cog, Eddy Current Suppression Ring, Tame Impala, Urthboy, Philadelphia Grand Jury, Yacht Club DJs and King George.
Bands were invited to register by submitting an MP3 and selections have been made. The Lineup for tomorrow night includes Frankly, Bloody Hollys, and Silver Lizard. Be still there at 11:30 and you'll know who opens the MASS festival.
The MASS Music Festival is part of the 2010 Drug Aware Pro, presented by Rusty. The inaugural MASS Festival will be a truly MASSive event, broadening a great sporting event to a celebration of Music, Arts, Surf and Style.
