The City Of Bunbury's Take 2: Youth Media Project presents their latest film, “Bunbury- What's in it for us? - A teenagers Perspective".
This is the latest installment of the City of Bunbury’s youth and media initiative Take 2. Produced and filmed by a group of Bunbury students, the film tackles the commonly held perspective of teenagers in Bunbury that ‘there is nothing to do in Bunbury.’
Instead of the stereotypical teenage lament that "Bunbury is boring", this group of students have instead focused on the positive and highlight what Bunbury currently offers to teenagers.
Students Cale Taylor, Des Kane, Adam McDowell and Cody Lee investigate the activities available to teenagers in Bunbury and set about to dismiss the theory that Bunbury is ‘boring’ and lacking in suitable events aimed at their age group.
Youth Development Officer Andrew Rigg says, "At the beginning of film discussion, students very much talked about what they did not like about Bunbury, but it was a unanimous decision to reverse that thought pattern and approach the issue from a new angle and it has been a steep learning experience for us all. We have all discovered things about the city that we previously hadn’t known about or hadn't even noticed. It has been an incredible experience that has changed the way we see Bunbury".

The latest Take 2 Youth Media film will screen on Thursday 22 April 2010 at 6:30pm at the Bunbury Vineyard Auditorium, where certificates will also be presented to the participants.
