Youth bands in the South West are being urged to get in quick with their registrations to battle it out in the City of Bunbury BANDiT Battle of the Bands competition in September.
The City of Bunbury Youth Advisory Council’s BANDiT Battle of the Bands gives young musicians and performers the chance to show their song writing and musical ability and be in the running for great prizes, including the opportunity to play in front of a huge audience at the huge City of Bunbury Australia Day celebrations in January 2011.
BANDit Battle of the Bands competition aims to continue growing a live music scene in Bunbury for emerging bands and to spark creativity in musicians and performers.
Bands get the chance to perform their own music in front of a live audience thereby encouraging the ongoing creation of original music in the south west.
Youth bands from all over the South West are invited to register.
The only provisions being - at least one band member is aged 25 or under and the bands must only perform original music.
Bands stand to win the following prizes
$1,000 Vibrations Music voucher
$1,000 studio time at South West Music recording studios
10 band publicity shot from Ben Yew Photography valued at $500
WAM annual membership & WAM prize packs
BANDiT Battle of the Bands is on Saturday September 11 at Bunbury Vineyard Auditorium.
Registration is $50 per band.
