Boyup Brook is situated on the Blackwood River and is located between the South West and Albany Highways. Centrally located, Boyup Brook is the ideal home base for you to explore the wonders of the region.
Boyup Brook is a clean and neat town and with its tree lined wide avenue main streets it blends in harmony with the rolling countryside.
Known for its friendliness and hospitality Boyup Brook is full of exciting and unexpected hidden treasures.
Some of the activities you can undertake are: tackling the town walk trails, catching up with the district’s history, or visiting renowned local artist, Sandy Chambers. There’s also the Carnaby Beetle and Butterfly collection, the District Pioneer Museum, Harvey Dickson’s Country Music Centre, the “Hot Country” Shop and Roo Gully Wildlife Sanctuary just to name a few.
Visitors can also have a hit of golf or tennis, go swimming or canoeing and admire the wildflowers in spring.
The annual Country Music festival in February is the biggest Country Music festival in W.A. The festival now runs over four days and includes: fantastic concerts, Ute & Truck Muster, free Street festival and the biggest Bush Poets Breakfast. Rated in the top 10 festivals in Western Australia the Boyup Brook Country Music Festival is becoming one of the must see events in the State.
Harvey Dickson’s Rodeo and the Blackwood Marathon in October together with several other smaller events during the year, ensure there is always plenty to do and see.
