Student bands from across the south west will have an opportunity to perform in front of an expected capacity crowd at the Bunbury Regional Entertainment Centre on March 31st 2007.
Elevator ’07 is a drug and alcohol free youth music event, comprising of a Battle of the Bands competition, concert, and other entertainment.
Event organisers say that Elevator ‘07 will be “high energy”, and provide young bands with a chance to perform in a professional setting, with all the lights, sound and atmosphere of a concert.
“It’s a great opportunity for young bands to not only get some exposure, but first prize winners will also take home $1,000 plus some time in a recording studio, which will help them develop their music further”, organisers said.
Tickets for the event go on sale next month, but in the meantime entries for the Battle of the Bands are open now. The cut-off date for entries is 19th March, but bands are encouraged to enter as soon as they can.
Elevator '07 is proudly supported by the City Of Bunbury, the Apprentice & Traineeship Company, the Bunbury Mail, WIN Television, Worsley Alumina, and the BREC Club.
