AUSSIES IN THE LOOP 2006

By Dave Roberts

A year ago we ran a feature on “Aussie cars in the loop”, and encouraged you all to get along to what’s becoming a spectacular day in Yarloop.  The day went as they’d hoped, and they did crack their 400 entry dream.  This year things look set to be even bigger.  It's worth planning to get to.

This is the 5th in a series of “In the Loop”® Events which offers a FREE day out with something for everyone.

It is held in a unique main street setting and the adjoining reserve in the Heritage Timber Town of Yarloop, on the South Western Highway, 90 mins from Perth and just 45 mins from Bunbury or Mandurah, or you can take TransWA’s “Australind” rail service (Call 1300 662 205 for times and bookings)

Visitors can expect to view a huge display of Classic Australian Built Cars. They can stroll though a large top quality market, offering a wide range of Craft and Produce stalls and

Public Interest Displays, choose from a smorgasbord of fine country foods and be entertained by the Day Long Variety Show on the Outdoor Stage, complete with giveaways and prizes. While children are enjoying rides, bouncy castle, games and face painting etc.

Alongside all of this, visitors will have the opportunity to taste the best of South West Wine, Cider, Cheese, Olive Oil, Cookies and much more in the S.W. Wine and Produce Expo in the Yarloop Hall.

Those who have an Australian built car, should enter it in the display, where as well as helping to break the 2005 record, it may win them a prize and trophy.
