PEMBERTON MARRON & WINE FESTIVAL
A crowd of between 3,000 and 5,000
people is expected at this year's Marron & Wine
Festival in Pemberton.
|
The first festival was held
last year, and proved to be a raging success.
And the local community is hoping to build
on that this year and once again give us a
fantastic day out.
This year the Festival is happening
on the Saturday 5th November at the Pemberton
Sports Club and along the streets of the town.
All Pemberton and Northcliffe businesse,s
as well as local artists, crafts people, chefs,
clubs, sporting associations, hobbyists and
community groups will be displaying and selling
their ware's with entertainment throughout
the day.
The event will open at 10am
on Saturday 5th November. Throughout the day
there will be

childrens rides, acts,
dancing, fishing, Marron displays and local
art and craft exhibitions as well as the wine.
|
A rock wall will also be available (if Pemberton's
trees aren't thrilling enough).
The Pemberton Ambassador will be
announced during the event and Creative Constructions
taking Recycling to the catwalk will have
exhibitions with awards presented on the day. The
event will close at 6pm with a local band providing
entertainment.
It is anticipated that between 3000
and 5000 people will be attracted to the event,
with lots of fun and excitement for young and old.
Registration is now open to local
businesses to participate. All Southern Forests
businesses as well as local artists, crafts people,
chefs, clubs, sporting associations, hobbyists and
community groups are encouraged to return the attached
form to book a space for their display.
The event will be held in a series
of Marquees at the Pemberton Sports Club and in
the existing clubs facilities. Display booths are
available for local businesses with each booth 3m
x 3m (approximately) - enough room for a trestle
table and other display/saleable material. Tables
and chairs can be provided if required.
If you are interested in providing
a display, please contact Peter Davis on 9776 1202.
