SOUTHBOUND 2009

To put beyond any doubt how popular the annual Southbound festival has become, tickets for the 2009 event have sold out in record time.

SouthboundSouthbound has developed at an amazing pace over the last five years, and the response of music fans in WA, the wider nation and around the world has been incredible. What started off only a few years ago as little more than a passionate idea has developed into a fine celebration of music, arts, the environment and the great outdoors.

More than 40 international, national and local artists will make the fifth annual Southbound Festival the finest yet on Friday January 2nd and Saturday January 3rd at Sir Stewart Bovell Park, Busselton.

The two-day bonanza kicks off on Friday when campers arrive, with the Festival continuing on Saturday and campers departing the festival site on Sunday.

If you missed out on a ticket, pretty much the only way to get there now is to be part of the crew. Luckily, event organisers Sunset Events are on the look out for dedicated and enthusiastic crew to be a part of the festival.

There are paid and volunteer positions available across a range of areas, such as bar staff and event roles such as Green Team, cloakroom, retail, gate staff, management positions and more. Volunteers do an eight-hour shift in exchange to entry/access to the festival. All staff and volunteers get free camping too (you must be over 18 to camp).

For more information you can check out the vacancy listing on our jobs page.

The current lineup for Southbound includes the following acts: The Hives, Pete Murray, Donavon Frankenreiter, Birds Of Tokyo, Bliss n Eso, Architecture In Helsinki, The Cribs, End Of Fashion, The Drones, South Rakkas Crew, TZU, Liam Finn, Wolf and Cub, C.W.
