2007 MARRON & WINE FESTIVAL


The 2007 Marron & Wine Festival on Saturday, 27th January promises to be a fun day out for the whole family with Local and International Entertainment performed throughout the day and into the evening.

With something for everyone there will be over 24 local wineries, cideries, breweries & distilleries represented. You are sure to tempt your taste buds with the many local culinary delights available.

With a number of activities aimed to ‘put a smile on you face’ have fun with the ‘Guess the Marron Weight Competition’, compete in the Doughnut Eating Contest or come and barrack for your mates and be prepared for the communities Aussie Meat Pie Bake off.

 

For the more creative, perhaps you would like to enter the Paddock Art Competition with fabulous prize money for the best entries. The theme this year is “Marron”. And for those who would like to present an entry in the Creative Construction competition the theme is ‘wines’.

There will be a local art and craft exhibition with organized free activities to all Primary School children which include the making of gum nut and stick dolls, decorating masks and resist pictures using wax crayons or pastels.

Come prepared for fun and ‘Dress up’ as there are spot prizes for the Best Dressed Aussie. Perhaps you will like to bring your pet and enter the Best Kept Pet competition. Throughout the day there will be Hay Rides, a ‘petting’ Zoo, children’s rides and acts. With Competitions Galore!!!

The Festival will be held at the Pemberton Sports Club & Oval 10am with the Fab Four playing inside the club from 9pm supported by guest artists from 6pm.

There is a $10 per adult entry fee with Kids free – part proceeds to the local St John Ambulance.

The cost of the evening entertainment is $20 per person with $5 discount should you show your festival wrist band.
