SOUTH WEST REGIONAL ORCHESTRA

It's time to make great music!

A group of musicians are busy preparing for the much anticipated launch of the SOUTH WEST REGIONAL ORCHESTRA.

Under the direction of Bill Curtis, rehearsals are under way for their inaugural performance at the Alcoa Free Community Concert on Sunday 17 August, at the Bunbury Regional Entertainment Centre.

The orchestra is looking forward to their debut, where they will be playing a mix of popular light classics that everyone can enjoy.

Though the 25-strong orchestra is already making great music, there is still an opportunity for more players to join. Bill Curtis would welcome more strings players, especially violinists. This is a fantastic chance for musicians in the community to pick up their instruments and get together with like-minded people who enjoy making music.

Orchestra members range in age from teenagers to grandparents. They rehearse in a fun environment while creating excellent music.

Anyone interested in joining the orchestra can contact either Bill Curtis on 0412 525 199 or Graham Harvey at BREC on 9792 3111. The next rehearsal is on Monday night (21 July) at 7pm at Bunbury Senior High School Performing Arts Centre.

The orchestra is supported by Bunbury Regional Entertainment Centre and Healthway.
