Truffle Hill Wines, from Manjimup, have taken out the Trophy for Best White Blend at the Timber Towns Regional Wine Show. It was the Truffle Hill Sauvignon Blanc Semillon 2009 that was selected to be the best of the best in the White Blend category from a competition that spans the Manjimup, Pemberton and Blackwood Valley wine regions.
The 2009 vintage was outstanding for Sauvignon Blanc from Truffle Hill, with silver medals being awarded to both the Truffle Hill Sauvignon Blanc Semillon 2009 and the Truffle Hill Sauvignon Blanc 2009. Five other Truffle Hill Wines, including the Truffle Hill Reserve Riesling 2009, and the Truffle Hill Reserve Shiraz 2008, picked up Bronze medals.
Winemaker for Truffle Hill Wines, Mark Aitken, is very excited to win the Trophy for Best White Blend, and states that 2009 was a great vintage, with high quality Sauvignon Blanc being produced across the three regions. Mark and the team at Truffle Hill are thrilled to come out on top, and this win is a testament to their focus on producing quality wines.
The Truffle Hill Sauvignon Blanc Semillon 2009 is currently available for $16.99 RRP, and the Truffle Hill Sauvignon Blanc 2009 is due for release in the near future.
Truffle Hill Wines are available from selected retail outlets across WA, and from the cellar door, which is located seven kilometres from the Manjimup townsite, along Seven Day Road.
